The Marchesi Foundry is located in Tione in the heart of the Adamello Brenta Natural Park in the western part of Trentino - Italy.

History and Development of the Marchesi Foundry

1946
The company was founded by Alessio and Rodolfo Marchesi with the purpose of processing non-ferrous metals and producing household items.

 

Today
Marchesi has extensive experience in the die casting of aluminum components and in the development of the equipment necessary for processing and surface treatment.

Lines of brass and stainless steel handles and accessories, intended for the window and door sector, are also produced and assembled at the Tione plant.

1955

Start of production of accessories for doors and windows, main activity until the sixties. The company already adopted an international vision, selling its products abroad..

1961

The first portion of the current Italian factory was built, including the new foundry, with new foundry, processing and finishing departments, as well as offices and warehouses.

1966

The production of pressure die-cast aluminum components for the electronic and telecommunication sectors began.

The seventies

The company became a joint stock company, with the name Fonderia Marchesi SpA.

Late nineties

Integration of the production cycle with the surface finishing and assembly phases, according to technical specifications.

2005

The company’s production expanded to Asia, with the opening of a factory in Suzhou (China) dedicated to aluminum pressure die-casting for telecommunications and later for other industrial sectors.

2013

The Chinese factory moved to a new location with automation of the critical phases: casting, mechanical processing, surface treatments and assembly.

2015

Opening of the production site in Romania, in Caransebes, called Marchesi Eastern Europe (MEE).

2016

Introduction of electroplating and painting line in China.

2017

Opening of the production site in Mexico, in Guadalajara, called Marchesi Light Alloy (MLA).

2018

Change of company name from Fonderia Marchesi SpA to Fonderia Marchesi Srl, wholly owned.

2023

Sale of Chinese subsidiaries. Integration of the production line in Mexico with new surface processing machines, following orders in the automotive sector. Expansion into Romania with new die casting and machining machines, in response to orders in the lighting and mechatronics sectors. Installation of photovoltaic system in Italy.

2024

Further implementation of the production line in Mexico with new equipment for assembly and component testing.

2025

Purchase of new die casting islands in Mexico for the production of large components, with high-tech processing, surface treatment and assembly, in response to new orders in the technological sectors. Installation of photovoltaic system in the plant in Romania.
