AND ENVIRONMENT POLICY
Marchesi wishes to create a work environment with a high level of safety, health and protection for people and the environment. The Group undertakes to introduce best practices in the production processes that go beyond the application of existing regulations. The continuous improvement of the internal regulations and conduct of its employees and contractors has the goal of minimizing the risk of hazardous and harmful situations for people and the environment.

THE GOALS
- Infrastructures and production processes are planned to ensure safety and prevent events harmful to people, property and the environment;
- The group’s employees are trained in the safety field, and the company provides them with the means to work in a safe and sustainable manner;
- All employees are encouraged to promote safe work practices that are also environmentally friendly;
- Marchesi is looking for partners that share the belief that accidents can be prevented and that the promotion of safe and respectful behaviors toward the environment is crucial to achieve optimal resource management;
- Energy efficiency is pursued by reducing waste production in the various stages and by preventing environmental pollution;
- Periodically, the company performance is reviewed and checked, with the goal of improving internal conduct.
Marchesi developed over the years an sensible approach toward environmental issues, and for this reason it follows a Corporate Policy aimed at developing a true environmental management system. This “vision” allowed the company to optimize its production process from an energy saving point of view and to respect the environmental resources.
The company was equipped with the following plants:
- 1600 l/h mechanical auto-cleaning filtering system to recyle the water originating from the sifting line
- A concentrator for the treatment of emulsified oils used in the CNC center department and for the release agent used during the pressure die-casting process
- Cooling tower for recycling processing water
- Led lighting installation (funded by the Fund FESR 2014 – 2020)
- Photovoltaic project: energy requalification intervention with a 386.40 kWp photovoltaic system, aimed at reducing CO₂ emissions (project co-funded by the FESR 2021-2027 Program of the Provincia autonoma di Trento)
The Company has also entered into agreements with major clients to recover and reuse packagings used for the shipment of goods.
In 2018 the Company achieved ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 Certification.

MARCHESI has committed to measuring and reducing the greenhouse gas emissions associated with its operations.
In 2024, the first emissions inventory on the 2024 annuality was calculated, in accordance with UNI EN ISO 14064-1:2018
The GHG inventory developed for Fonderia Marchesi Srl includes all phases
of the manufacturing process carried out at the site, along with the upstream phases that occur prior to production but are attributable to it, and the downstream phases relating to sales and after-sales services, to the use and disposal of materials, which are considered significantly relevant.
